Founder of the Russian Special Forces, gang rape connoisseur, and just a great Russian writer. Mikhail Lermontov is all that.
In the early period of his career, Lermontov was a cadet and wrote a brutal poem "Ulansha", in which he described the gang rape of a girl by his colleagues.
After this text, one feels the need to take a bath and reflect on the great humanism of Russian literature, which "cannot bring up murderers and rapists."
To better understand the ethical abyss into which Lermontov descended, we spoke with literary critic Rostyslav Semkiv who said that Lermontov was a rather symptomatic figure in Russian literature.
